About Happy Hats for Kids
How it all started...
In 1991 after the loss of her younger brother, father, mother and grandmother to cancer, Sheri Schrier founded Happy Hats for Kids in Hospitals, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It broke her heart as she watched helplessly as the physical pain and emotional trauma of hair loss devastated her loved ones. She set out on a mission to put smiles back on the faces of hospitalized children.
Sheri, with the help of her husband Gene, created the unique Hero Club and Happy Hat Holiday Programs. These two successful programs have brought excitement and fun to hundreds of thousands of kids and those who love and care for them throughout the United States and Israel. We serve children of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and economic levels. There is no cost to the famililes or hospitals for our gifts.
