Learn all about our Happy Hats programs, and how you can get involved today, including the hero club, holiday happy hats and the super hero club.
the HERO CLUB
This program, established in 2003, offers inpatients and children in emergency rooms a gift package containing a whimsical, felt Hero Hat, a 60 page Hero Club Bilingual/interactive storybook, crayons, and peel-off decorations for the kids to creatively decorate their own Hero Hats.
The hats bring immediate smiles to the precious faces of these young patients.
The purpose of the book is to help calm the children and their family’s fears by explaining basic hospital procedures in a gentle and humorous manner.
A literacy component is added to help strengthen reading skills of English/Spanish.
This program serves as a vehicle to bring joy to ill children and their families at a most vulnerable time.

holiday HAPPY HATS
This festive program, established in 1991, brightens the holiday spirit and brings fun to hospitalized children who are unable to celebrate at home with their families.
Vibrant, holiday themed Happy Hats are given to hospitalized children, their families, and hospital staff six times throughout the year. These adorable hats are hand embellished with sparkling decorations that evoke laughter and smiles throughout the halls.
super HERO CLUB
Established in 2020, a Super Hero Cape and Super Hero Mask have been a fantastic addition to our Hero Club gift package for in-patients. Peel-off decorations are also included for the kids to creatively decorate and personalize their own Hero Hats and Capes.
Our unique Super Hero Club gift offers a much-needed distraction for sick children from their anxieties, fears, and trauma by inspiring them to be powerful and brave Super Heroes
